Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How
come Deck Studio doesn't work for Windows 95/98/ME?
A: These operating systems have been not been supported
formally by Microsoft for some time now, and we have run
into an increasing number of problems and delays trying
to ensure all of our code works properly for these
platforms. Deck Studio is compatible with Windows 2000
SP4 and higher platforms.
Q: Where is a MAC / LINUX version of Deck Studio?
A: The initial target platform for Deck Studio was Windows
since most of the players we found were using this
Operating System. It also paired nicely with the .NET
Framework that was used to develop the application.
When 1.0 went public, we then looked to migrate Deck Studio
to the MONO framework to support our MAC / UNIX duelists
and also develop an online version so people could use
the application over the web. When we asked around,
duelists were more interested in seeing a web based
version before they saw a MAC / UNIX specific version.
Based on this information, Deck Studio dotWEB became the
next project for development. You can see progress on
this application through our
forums.
